Peskov: Russia may keep oil, gas trade if price cap high enough

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Nov 28 (PRIME) – Russia has not changed its position that it will not sell oil and gas to the states that introduce a price limit, although trade may continue if the price is high enough, spokesman for the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said on November 27.

"Look, we proceed from a statement of President (Vladimir) Putin that we will not trade oil and oil products with such countries, and will not trade gas. The position remains as it was," Peskov said.

The European states have suspended discussing the price limit for Russia, because some of them believe that the proposed threshold of $65-70 per barrel is too generous.

"There are many nuances that should be taken into account," Peskov said, adding that the price limit is unclear so far and it might be beneficial for Moscow, Peskov said.
